Mirus IT Solutions is a business computer services company based in Milton Keynes founded by Paul Tomlinson in 2002. The main focus of Mirus it to provide IT support in London, Milton Keynes and the surrounding areas. You will be part of a committed IT Services company providing high quality IT services. The aim is to provide the level of support a business would expect to receive from an internal IT team.

Experience:

You will be the Technical Team Leader and mentor for the Apprentice Team that has five Apprentice Service Desk Engineers that provide first line support to our service desk teams.

The responsibility of the Technical Team Leader is to manage the development of the apprentices as well as live mentoring and support to create the next generation of level two Service Desk Engineers at Mirus IT.

For this you will have:

  • Proven experience of working in an MSP service desk environment as a Team Leader or IT Engineer;
  • MCSA (at least one historical MCP qualification as part of the MCSA)
  • Two or more year’s commercial experience supporting SME's;
  • Understanding of and working within the ITIL framework;
  • Excellent customer service skills;
  • Familiar with working to SLA’s & KPI’s to meet customer requirements;

Technical Skill-set:

  • Windows Server Technologies (2008/2012/2016).
  • Exchange (2010/2013/2016.
  • VMware / Hyper-V.
  • PC / Server Hardware.
  • Active Directory.
  • Firewalls (ideally SonicWall) and Routers.
  • Backup Technologies (Backup Exec, Veeam etc.).
  • Networking, including DNA, DHCP.
  • NAS and Storage Technologies.

Interview Process:

  • First stage: This will be a 30 minute - 45 minute technical conversation with one of the Mirus IT Senior Engineers;
  • Second stage: Is a Skype video interview with Bruce Evison, Service Desk Manager;
  • Third stage: Is a presentation to the Senior Management Team;
  • Final stage: This is offer and agreement of a start date. Start day is usually a Monday @ 9:30am dependent on your availability.
