Meet the management team who lead the solutions provided by Mirus IT.
Paul founded Mirus IT in 2002. During his life he's not always been in IT; with a small stint installing concrete driveways and another plastering high rise office buildings in San Francisco. He soon realised he didn't have a head for heights and didn't like the cold so concentrated on a career in IT.
It was clearly a good choice as Paul has since grown Mirus to employ nearly 100 people, expanding the business offering to include not just IT solutions, but telephony too.
He began his career as an IT engineer and has a thorough understanding of all aspects of the IT industry, from the installation process, to creating strategies that help clients reach their business goals.
Paul says a key achievement has been seeing Mirus expand into our new, current offices where our friendly, helpful company culture has thrived, and it has become a place where team members genuinely enjoy spending time.
When not working at Mirus, Paul spends his time with his wife, Jess, and his children Eoin, Sorcha and Iris. And, when time permits, Paul enjoys travelling in the family camper van.
Dan joined Mirus in January 2008 from another local IT services provider (who were clearly not a patch on Mirus!). He had learned early on that manual labour was not the way forward when his dad forced him to work with bricklayers and roofers in the school holidays.
So, Dan undertook a degree in business and, upon graduation, ventured into the technology sales industry with Unisys, working as part of their major accounts team.
Dan is a great example of the career development that a business like ours can offer. He joined Mirus as a sales consultant before taking responsibility for the sales team and then progressing to his current role of Sales Director.
Dan has a deep understanding of how to connect customers to effective IT solutions that improve their efficiencies, streamline their processes and deliver valuable ROI.
The thing he enjoys most about his role is building and developing lasting, valuable relationships with our clients.
Outside of work, Dan has a young family and his two boys Charlie and Sam fill any spare moments.
Tom is a qualified accountant who returned to his Milton Keynes roots when he joined Mirus in the spring of 2011, after 10 years in London. After leaving university with a maths degree and then doing three years of auditing, Tom decided that he wanted something that was slightly more fun.
So, he ditched the grey suit and went to work for the Duke of Westminster's property company, dealing with the glamorous world of multi-million-pound properties in Mayfair and Belgravia. The only job that could follow that was at Mirus where, as well as being responsible for all things financial, Tom also looks after HR and facilities.
If there's any problem that isn't specific to a job role, then Tom is usually the man to ask.
When not working with the rest of the senior management team to grow the business, Tom can usually be found chasing his young sons, Ben and Sam, or the cattle, around his family farm.
Chris joined Mirus in late 2013, having previously been Service Delivery Manager for the IT support function at TNT, the global logistics giant.
Chris strummed his way through university and, whilst travelling around Australia, found his true calling in the service delivery arena.
He is responsible for the client service provision at Mirus, managing the technical engineers and IT support delivery teams. His role focuses on delivering service excellence as standard through process optimisation, and ensuring the continual improvement culture is upheld.
Chris says he enjoys coaching and mentoring and helping people to develop.
When not driving up and down the A5 from just south of Leicester to the Mirus office, Chris can be found walking his dogs in the local countryside or serenading his wife with his guitar.
Peter joined Mirus in April 2014. With over 18 years experience in business telecommunications, he brings a wealth of knowledge from Business Mobile services, Hosted and Cloud based solutions to data connectivity.
His career in Telecoms started as an installation engineer, squeezing into tight spaces or crawling through ceiling voids installing structured network cabling. Moving through the ranks, Peter now heads Mirus Telephony which offers business communications services, specialising in cloud and hosted telecoms services. This is a multi-dimensional role including sales, management of the Mirus Telephony team, and dealing with all of our suppliers, such as EE and Vodafone.
Richard started his copying business in 1988, the year the pound note was replaced with a coin!
Although not as radical as a note becoming a coin, the humble single use mono copier has evolved into the full colour multi-functional office machine that has become a necessity for all businesses large and small.
The technological advances in this sector have seen a closer synergy to the IT industry and, after working in partnership with Mirus for over 5 years, the logical step was to join forces and become part of the constantly growing Mirus Group, becoming Head of Managed Print.
Richard has a young family and a passion for football coaching which takes up his time out of work.
