ARE YOU CYBER AWARE? IF NOT THEN THE BUCKS CYBER SECURITY SUMMIT 2018 IS A MUST ATTEND EVENT FOR YOU!

 Buckinghamshire Cyber Security Summit

Powered by Mirus IT

Thanks to everyone who attended our event - it was an excellent turn out and the feedback has been wonderful.

Unless you’ve had your head buried in the sand or lived on a remote deserted island for the last few years you’ll be aware in the rise of cyber-crime, not only in volume but also sophistication.

Whilst everyone had become accustomed to viruses and malware, the rise of ransomware through 2017 brought a whole new level of attention via the WannaCry outbreak within the NHS. Cyber Crime has developed into well-constructed, increasingly hard to detect phishing campaigns aimed at stealing your credentials.

To help businesses across the region be best prepared to tackle these increasing threats we are launching the first annual ‘Buckinghamshire Cyber Security Summit’ to be held at Chicheley Hall on the 8th November 2018.

Joining over 100 business leaders will be a number of key speakers, including Jamie Bartlett, author of ‘The Dark Web’, Cal Leeming an internationally recognized hacker turned IT security expect, as well as some of the world’s leading security providers such as Microsoft, Datto, Webroot and Mimecast.

He is a technology blogger for the Telegraph and regularly contributes to publications on how the internet is changing politics and society, including The New York Times, The Times, The Guardian, Foreign Policy, and Prospect.

2017 sees Jamie present his first major BBC series and continually publish and research work on radical political movements, cybercrime and the internet culture.

Keynote Speaker

Cal Leeming – Security Advisor and Founder

This is a man driven by a relentless passion for technology. After a nefarious start where his natural curiosity and obsession to understand how things work led him astray, Cal was discovered by investors who immersed him into the world of startups.

Now in his early 30s, Cal is one of the most sought-after experts in security and tech. He’s a co-founder of several successful startups, including The Zebra and PixelMags, and boasts an impressive portfolio of clients including Bank of England, Barclaycard and Vodafone.

As a regular media figure, Cal recently featured on BBC Horizon’s hard-hitting documentary about cyber-attacks on the

UKs National Health Service, otherwise known as “The Day the NHS Stopped”.

Today Cal is the founder of River Oakfield who provide tailored cyber security solutions for private clients and enterprises.

"With the growing reliance of a myriad of systems to undertake business, there is an absolute need for this to be carried out in a secure way. One of the reasons the new university for Milton Keynes is being built is to train those will fight cyber crime.”
