Helping Out The Parks Trust

On Friday a team of Mirus volunteers donned their wellies and headed off to Stony Stratford nature reserve to help revive two of their bird watching hides that had become overgrown and unusable.

The M-team, along with Martin Kincade from The Parks Trust, waded through mud and tackled stinging nettles to clear away all the jungle-like vegetation and paint the hides so they looked as good as new.

The result is a peaceful haven for bird watchers and families alike to come and watch the wonders of nature at it's natural best in this beautiful reserve.

To thank Dan, Tom, Katie, Lianne, Ryan, Mark, Aishling, Mary and Stephen for all their hard work, we rewarded them with a well deserved ice cream at the bus stop on the way home!
