The latest version of Papercut Managed Print Software is here!
Papercut 19.0 arrives with a wealth of user-requested upgrades and quality-of-life improvements, with the software’s developers touting “Digital Transformation” as the motivation behind this new version.
What does this mean for our business print clients?
For starters, there’s now even more options for your scan-to-cloud needs. Evernote and Cloud support have been added, both joining GoogleDrive, OneDrive, Dropbox and box as cloud storage solutions that users can instantly and securely scan their files to with the new software.
Optical Character Recognition in the Cloud scans documents and turns them into smart documents, ready for editing in Papercut’s own cloud services. These documents are text-searchable and can be saved into a range of formats, including PDA and PDF files. What makes this whole system easier than ever is that no software add-ons are needed – this function is available right out of the box as a standard feature of Papercut MF.
With account selection at the MFD, remote and BYOD workers can select accounts at the time of print. Previously, BYOD workers were forced to install client software on their personal devices before work could be attributed, or charges could be forwarded, to accounts and departments.
Language Selection at the Touchscreen is precisely what you think it is; if you need to change the interface language at any MFD, users can do so. Users will even have their preferences follow them to the next device they print or scan from.
With this new update, Papercut users are given more flexibility in and out of the office, the cloud and the user’s native languages.
