Spending time in hospital can be an overwhelming experience for anyone, but for children and young people it can be a scary place miles away from their home and families.
With this in mind Milton Keynes Hospital started an appeal last year to focus on the children’s wards at their facility.
With the helping paw of mascot, Leo the Lion, the hospital is endeavouring to inspire the local community to get involved so that together we can make a difference to the children that visit Milton Keynes hospital and make their stays as pleasant as possible.
Here at Mirus we’re not ones to shy away from a bit of community spirit so we are donating over £500 worth of toys to Milton Keynes Hospital so that the children can have fun, forget about their procedures and just carry on being kids!
“We see around 36,000 children and their families each year so this toy donation will make a real difference.”
- Jenny Howells, Milton Keynes Hospital Charity
After dropping the toys off and seeing the children in the wards, we have also committed to returning at Christmas with a present for every child too as no child should have to spend Christmas without a visit from Santa.
As much as these toys will be well played with and loved, there is plenty left to do. If you want to send a donation to Leo’s Appeal, you can here:
