Safety Centre’s annual family open day on Sunday 22nd July.
The Safety Centre invites the emergency services along to their Open Day, and they bring their fire engines and motorbikes in order to help spread safety messages in a fun and interactive way. It’s a free, annual event held at the start of the summer holidays when children are more likely to be out and about.
It was an action packed day featuring:
- The Fire brigade
- The Police
- Santander bicycles
- Blood motorbikes
- A BBQ and a cake sale
- Tours of the Safety Centre
- and more!
Becky and Laura loved it, and had their very own roles to check tickets and show the visitors where to go. Laura was rather chuffed that they both had their own clipboards (and a walkie-talkie!)! Nothing like a clipboard to make you feel important!
