 Mirus IT Solutions is a business computer services company based in Milton Keynes founded by Paul Tomlinson in 2002. The main focus of Mirus it to provide IT support in London, Milton Keynes and the surrounding areas. You will be part of a committed IT Services company providing high quality IT services. The aim is to provide the level of support a business would expect to receive from an internal IT team.

Experience:

You will join the Apprentice Acceleration Team and be expected to complete an Advanced Level IT Apprenticeship through a local training provider. 

The responsibility of the Apprentice Service Desk Engineer is to:

  • Answer the telephone swiftly, working with the Team to achieve the Team's Telephone Performance KPIs (measured weekly)
  • Log all telephone calls and emails into the ConnectWise Ticket Management System
  • Manage and work to meet internal and customer SLAs
  • Help the Team achieve their Servicedesk KPIs (First Response KPI, the Average Time to respond KPI, and the Median Time to Resolve KPI)
  • Help to develop and maintain customer specific infrastructure documentation within the Mirus Knowledge Base
  • Learn to take end to end ownership of problem resolution
  • Learn to provide a First Level of investigation to Reactive Tickets

You will need to have:

  • An interest in supporting / fixing hardware software problems;
  • A good telephone manner;
  • Excellent customer service;
  • 5 GCSEs Grade C or above including Maths and English (or equivalent)

Interview Process:

  • First stage: This will be a 25 minute telephone conversation with the HR Manager;
  • Second stage: Is a face-to-face interview with the Service Desk Manager and Team Leader;
  • Final stage: This is offer and agreement of a start date. Start day is usually a Monday @ 9:30am dependent on your availability.
