Another successful 3 peaks training mission – Scafell Pike

Well done to John and Miro for completing the training climb up Scafell Pike at the weekend.

They set out to tackle the mountain head on through cold weather and deep snow but managed to reach the top and then come back down in under 5 hours. At 978 metres (3,209 ft), Scafell Pike is the highest mountain in England. It is located in the Lake District National Park in Cumbria. 

Scafell Pike surprises walkers with its rocky and rugged paths, becoming very steep and unrelenting towards the top. Lower paths are well defined and gentle, but don’t be fooled into relaxing your navigation! The Pike is very often covered by mist and many Three Peakers may face at least some part of this mountain in darkness (the Mirus team will be!).

 Well done John and Miro for showing the relentless Mirus spirit!
