As our chosen charity for 2010, the Mirus team descended upon Willen Hospice in Milton Keynes for a day of painting and decorating. The Hospice had identified their Day Centre as requiring a new coat of paint with lively and vibrant colours to give the environment a warmer less clinical feel.
As part of our task we redecorated a number of rooms, including the Alternatives Therapies room, which is used by the patients for things such as massage, aromatherapy and reflexology.
Dan Sharp, Mirus IT’s Sales Manager, commented ‘It’s been amazing to be able to help such a fantastic charity as Willen Hospice. Most people that live in the area will be aware of a friend or relative that has benefited from the care provided by the excellent team at the centre. We hope that by doing our little bit we have managed to improve the patients experience when visiting the Day Hospice’
The Willen Hospice Day Manager, Shirley Chamberlain, added ‘Thank you and your workers a million trillion times for all your hard work in painting the rooms in our Day Hospice. You must come and visit when all the furnishings are back and see what a difference you have made for us’
