Business Direct is a voice over broadband service that makes BT lines and PBXs redundant. Calls are handled centrally, providing advanced functionality without the need to own a PBX.

Additionally, the service offers free between-branch calls, unified dialling between remote locations and reduced calling rates to all destinations.

Features
Geographical Numbers & Incoming Calls
Users can keep their existing phone numbers or receive new numbers with any area code or non-geographical code (e.g. 0845, 0800 or 0870) Inbound calls are received as usual.

Advanced Voice Mail
The service offers advanced voice mail that can also be accessed via any Internet-connected PC, worldwide.

Follow Me and Call Screening
Users can easily set follow-me, to forward calls to a mobile phone or other fixed line handsets and to set call screening preferences, controlling when and where they are available.

Fax to Email
Faxes are sent to email addresses as attachments, without recipients needing to have a fax machine. Once received, faxes can be saved and forwarded as email attachments.

Support For 999 Calls
Broadband Telephony supports 999 calls, automatically routing calls to local emergency services.

A Single Centralised System for All Branches
Broadband Telephony connects branches and home workers, with remote phones behaving like internal extensions. The service provides a full range of PABX and smart phone capabilities to users at all sites.

Self-Care Management Tools

Do Not Disturb
When the Do Not Disturb feature is enabled, calls are automatically diverted to Voicemail (when available) without ringing at the user’s extension.

Call Waiting & Call History
The service offers Call Waiting (with Hold and Retrieve) in addition to Call History (via the phone and online), enabling users to easily view and return recent and missed calls.

Call Pick-up
Broadband Telephony enables users to easily pick up another ringing extension from their own phone.

DTMF
Transparent Dual Tone Multi Frequency (DTMF), enabling users to use interactive touch tone features.
