Mirus IT Solutions sent seven volunteers to get packing at the Milton Keynes Food Bank as part of their new initiative to support the charity. The three hour session was the culmination of four months collecting tins, boxes and packets in the business and through clients to help fulfil the needs of the growing charity.
Marketing Manager Kate Cash speaking for the volunteers said, "We help a small number of charities in the most effective ways we can. Giving is important but it is just as important to physically help and what we lacked in experience we tried to make up for with energy and enthusiasm as packers."
Kate and the team at Mirus IT are now working on collecting for the new Christmas Hamper initiative, launched this year by Milton Keynes Food Bank, to make this Christmas more cheerful for a few more families.
